Her daughter never replied, according to the poster, as she was not near her phone and her mum went ahead with the haircut regardless.
He wrote: "And to top it off, it is a horrific haircut! My son now basically has shaved hair along the sides of his head. He looks ridiculous and it's certainly not the style we would have given him. In fact, we would only have trimmed his hair.
"To compound matters, we are visiting for a trip with the extended family this weekend and she goes and does this on her own prerogative and without permission from us! We live in a much colder climate and I worry the lack of hair is going to make my son sick (something she won't have to deal with).
"And the final, most upsetting factor, is that she stole this moment from us. I lost my father in a car accident a few years ago and one of my earliest memories is going to the barber with him for my first haircut by a professional. I wanted to do the same with my son. Instead, that moment is now gone forever..."
Explaining that he is now "sad, mad and heartbroken" over losing that special moment with his son, the dad is also upset that he was lied to and his son's appearance was altered without their consent.
