Focusing on the 5 S’s - that stand for “swaddle,” “shush,” “swing,” “suck,” and “side or stomach” - the bassinet includes straps to ensure the baby doesn't roll.
It also plays gentle white noise to sooth the baby back to sleep when they wake in the night.
Engaget reports that although The Snoo may be incredibly pricey, parents in the US can now rent the product instead of having to splash out the one plus grand necessary for purchase.
The rental price, however, is still pretty high, working out at $149, or about €130, a month.
That being said, it's looking fairly likely that offering The Snoo as a rental will attract more parents across the country.
Seeing as the cot can only be used for the first six months of a baby's life, it makes more sense to rent the crib for a few months and then get rid of it, instead of splashing out - especially if it doesn't work for your baby.
Still though, mad money all the same.
