The Helix Panto for 2023 is Treasure Island
The Helix Panto, Treasure Island, has revealed there will be a specially adapted sensory-friendly performance on Tuesday, December 19th.
The team at the Helix and AsIAm have teamed up to raise funds for the charity this year. 25% of ticket sales from its sensory show will be donated to the charity.
This specially adapted performance of ‘Treasure Island’ will include softer on-stage lighting and compressed sound, with no sudden noises or bangs.
The lighting in the auditorium will also remain on ensuring the audience feels entirely comfortable throughout the performance.
The Helix has also set up a special breakout quiet space also available for families if needed.
As well as these changes, no flashing merchandise will be available at The Helix for this particular sensory-friendly performance.
Assistant dogs are welcome in the theatre and a particular allowance is made for those who may need to move around more or who may react in different ways to the performance.
Produced by TheatreworX Productions, The Helix was the first theatre in Ireland to stage a panto performance incorporating different sensory needs so that children can have an enjoyable festive experience with their families.

‘Treasure Island’ promises to be yet another hilarious production for all the family to enjoy with eye-catching sets, songs, as well as dances.
‘Treasure Island’ will begin a seven-week run from Friday, November 24th to Sunday, January 14th.
