When people think of holidays, they usually think of long flights, sandy beaches and packed suitcases.

However you don’t have to travel that far to have a nice break away in a good quality hotel. There are plenty here at home.

This week TripAdvisor revealed their list of the best hotels in Ireland, with Harvey’s Point in Donegal claiming the top spot.

Others that made the cut include The Merrion Hotel in Dublin, The River Lee in Cork and Ashford Castle in Mayo.
