You might have already introduced probiotics (you know, those gut-friendly bacteria) to your diet, but make way for prebiotics now too – related, as the name would suggest, to probiotic and with the power to support good bacteria in your digestive system, while also helping fight the bad ones.
While nutrition experts advise eating whole foods such as fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds keep your gut healthy, we will also see the rise of “prebiotic” foods, supplements and snacks.

Gotten used to sipping on some coconut water after you finish a work-out? You might want to swap that for a bottle of birch water come 2018, my friend.
Why? Well, according to the experts, this beverage is full of skin-brightning vitamin C, and has many health benefits, include clearing skin, detoxing the liver, easing arthritis and reducing bloating.
4. Powders with superpowers
If you think turmeric has already reached its peak, think again.
This little miracle worker, alongside some other pretty powerful powders too, are all set to take centre stage in wellness circles in the year to come. Matcha, cacao, baobab and turmeric should all feature in your food choices if you want to stay young, fit and healthy, and there are a million different ways to include these in your daily diet.
