Doing This ONE Thing In The Morning Can Change Your Whole Day (According To Science)

What is the first thing you think about when the alarm goes off and you wake in the morning?

“Coffee”? “Oh, no, it’s morning again?!” For the majority of us, I think it’s fair to say we wake wishing there still was time to sleep a little more, no?

But what if we tell you that you could wake up feeling happy and ready for the day every single morning? And that all it takes is ONE little – ehm -move?

What could that be, you ask?

Well, according to Harvard psychologist Amy Cuddy, author of Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges, simply stretching in the morning can help improve our mood and emotions.

According to Tech Insider, Cuddy argues that stretching is a power pose, which can boost confidence and therefore our mood.

“The people who wake up like this [in a V shape] are super happy, like annoyingly happy,” she said.

Also, and take note those of you who do, sleeping curled up in a “foetal ball” can be harming your emotions.

“If you sleep in a foetal ball…we have some preliminary evidence that people who wake up like that wake up much more stressed out,” she explains.

It all sounds a little crazy, no? But, hey, to wake up feeling on top of the world? We are definitely willing to give it a go.
