These Are The Things Dads Should Say About Their Partner’s AMAZING Bodies After Baby Comes

Sive O'Brien

So you’ve grown a human, baked that bun, birthed it, fed it, kept it alive, nurtured it – all from your flesh and blood. That’s pretty spectacular, no? Bloody right. But does your man really appreciate the affect all this has on your body, and what if you’ve done it numerous times?

While we’re not advocating that your confidence and body confidence comes from your partner’s recognition – we all know, if you’re not happy with yourself, it doesn’t matter what anyone says to you – but, ladies, we have lots to endure as our bodies change during pregnancy, and often don’t change back the way we want them to!

The wear-and-tear that making babies has on our bodies, inside and out, is not to be underestimated. Sometimes, we feel a bit vulnerable in a swimsuit; we’re not found of our newfound figure markings, our scars, our mum-tums that are seemingly permanent. A little bit of body positivity goes a long way.

So, here’s a little not-so-subtle hint, tag them in this piece, and you night just get the body adoration you deserve.

1. Your body has grown and birthed our child, you are amazing (now, say this daily!).

2. Don’t you worry about those stretch marks/cellulite/spider veins/flabby tummy/saggy boobs – you have done the hard work, I still find you totally sexy.

3. Thank you. I respect the physical and mental sacrifice you have made while pregnant; it’s not easy. You rock!

4. Ignore all these celebrities whose bodies ‘bounced’ back after having a baby. There is no bounce back, honey, unless you have a chef, a personal trainer daily, and a 24-hour nanny.

5. So your body has changed, so has mine. Our bodies have grown-up together.

6. What can I do to help you feel yourself again? I’ll draw you a bath/book a massage/rub your back/let you have some pampering time.

7. It’s amazing how just two boobs can give so many people so much pleasure.

8. I find you even more attractive now than before we had kids.

Any to add, ladies, let us know in the comments below.
