Kerry Katona pleads guilty to failing to send child to school

Kerry Katona has pleaded guilty to failing to send her child to school.

The Atomic Kitten singer was due to attend court today on a charge of keeping her child from going to school.

She did not attend herself and rather a plea was entered on her behalf.

The Sun reports that Katona had previously denied the charge at Brighton and Hove Magistrates Court earlier this year.

This is the second time that the singer has been accused of the charge after taking a family holiday to Barbados in 2017. Katona said that the children’s father had planned the trip and denied any guilt.

She also failed to pay the fine attribute to the charge.

This comes just a few months after Katona shared a series of photos of her son, Max, after he was physically assaulted by bullies in school.

“Had to come home from work early yesterday as some little shits in high school did this to my max!!!” Kerry said on Instagram.

“He’s only 10!!!!!!!!! Do, say what you want about me but when it comes to my kids! I will rip heads off!!!!!!!”

The former Atomic Kitten star included several photos of Max from different angles showing the nasty bruise under his eye.

Other parents were quick to sympathise with Kerry, saying that it was “horrific” what had happened to her son.
