Mum of Tristan Thompson’s third child claims he has “done nothing” to support their son

A DNA test confirmed he was the child’s father earlier this year.

The mum of Tristan Thompson’s third child has claimed he has yet to step up and support their 2-month-old son.

Maralee Nichols, who previously filed a lawsuit requesting the NBA star pay child support and pregnancy-related fees, said he “has done nothing” to support the infant despite promising to do so after a paternity test confirmed he was the baby’s father.

“Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support his son,” Nichols’ rep said in a statement to Page Six.

“He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance.”

The statement comes after it was reported that the 30-year-old basketball player could be paying up to $40,000 in child support to each of his children’s mothers: Khloé Kardashian, with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter True, Jordan Craig, with whom he shares 5-year-old son Prince, and Nichols, who has yet to publicly reveal her son’s name.

Thompson, who initially disputed the paternity of Nichols’ baby, admitted to fathering the child in early January following the results of a DNA test.

“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time.

“I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son.”

He went on to apologise to Kardashian, who he was reportedly still dating when his son with Nichols was conceived.

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.

“My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
