What an incredibly clever way to stay warm at home this winter without breaking the bank!
Keeping the house warm in the colder months can be expensive.
And there are times when even fluffy pyjamas and hot water bottles are just not cutting it.
Luckily, one woman has shared an easy and free way to get warmth into a room to keep you snug this winter by using items that are commonly found in all homes.
TikTok has given way to a bounty of hacks and tips to cut costs and this one is no different.
A user under the TikTok handle @queenscurlz shared the tried-and-tested way she gets heat into her home without having to spend a penny.
The items required include terracotta pots, tea lights, bolts, washers, wire, a jump rope handle, and a safe lid.
Placing the lit candles inside terracotta pots into the lid, she covers them with a large terracotta pot that has been fitted with a handle using the other household items.
This, she claims, heats the room in just 15 minutes.
“This is the best DIY this winter! Easy to make and keeps warm with no added radiators” the user captioned the demonstration clip.
“Make it and tag me in your creations! Share with everyone so we all stay warm this winter.”

After posting, many took to the comments to ask questions before creating their own DIY heating gadget.
“I’ve seen quite a few of these and yours is the most attractive and functional. I am still fearful of having this indoors. Successful all winter?” one user asked, to which she replied: “Thank you so much for your kind words! We have it running indoors as much as possible right now. Having a strong base underneath is key.”
Another user questioned: “How do the candles not turn off if there are no holes up top . I need to try this I heard it’s going to be bad again during Xmas,” with the original poster replying: “There is enough air and instead they warm up the terracotta which then holds on to the heat. In bigger room you will need more than one.”
