When you're little, you may not fully grasp the importance of healthy eating or why your parents seem so obsessed with vegetables.
Seeing all the colourful treats during a weekly food shop with your mum or dad can be an exciting experience until you're swiftly told to put them back.
However, what if you were given full control of what makes it past the checkout aisle? When two kids got this golden opportunity, they seized it on behalf of children everywhere, with hilarious results.
While passing down healthy food habits is paramount for parents, teaching your children how to manage money is another important lesson.
For both of these reasons, one brave mum decided to allow her nine-year-old and 13-year-old to head off to the supermarket to find out how they handled the food shop.
Taking to TikTok, Kristel shared the now-viral clip of the results of what £136.99 (€158.84) got them.

Understandably, the two siblings were less concerned about filling their basket with nutritional ingredients and focused completely on the top end of the food pyramid.
In the reveal, tonnes of biscuits, sugary cereals, instant noodles, crisps, and chocolate, all made the cut - with nine packets of various biscuit packets making their way home.
However, credit where credit is due, the two siblings also included a variety of fruits and veg, as well as pasta, yoghurts, potatoes, and meats.
The mum-of-seven, clearly impressed by their spend, despite loading up on numerous sweet treats, wrote in the caption how her daughter makes her 'so proud'.
Many users took to the comments of the viral video to also commend the two kids on their shopping task.
"I’m just impressed that with how long that receipt is it only came up to £137," one wrote.
"They did so well! You could tell they got excited down the biscuit aisle bless them but did better than most children their age!" another said.
"I actually think it’s not a bad shop tbh, it’s most things people buy for a daily shop anyways," a third added.
"They done well even the fruit n veggies all kids go mad in cereal and biscuits lol," one more commented.
Probably the most telling sign that children did the shop was that six boxes of cereal were bought and eight pots and packets of instant noodles, while just one two-litre bottle of milk was purchased!
