Smyths Toys issue warning to parents and reveal extended Christmas shopping hours

Sophie Collins

With December in full swing and Christmas Day fast approaching, shoppers everywhere are busy ticking off their holiday gift lists.

While many took advantage of Black Friday deals in November, there are still plenty of bargains available for those who need to pick up last-minute presents.

One retailer that sees a seasonal surge in popularity is Smyths Toys Superstore.

Known for its extensive range of toys and gifts for children, Smyths is a go-to destination for festive shopping.

However, there’s one important detail that customers using their Click and Collect service should keep in mind.

If you’re planning to use Smyths’ convenient Click and Collect option, it’s worth noting that the items are packaged in clear plastic bags, making the contents easily visible.

This could be a concern for parents or gift-givers trying to keep presents a surprise.

A notice on the Smyths website reads:

  • “Please note your Click and Collect items will be in clear packaging with contents visible.”

So, if you’re picking up gifts with little ones in tow, you might want to plan your trip carefully to keep your surprises under wraps.

To make holiday shopping even easier, Smyths has extended its opening hours in the lead-up to Christmas.

Stores will now stay open until 10:00 pm Monday to Friday until December 23rd.

Some locations may have varying hours, so it’s always a good idea to check your local store’s details using the online store finder on Smyths’ website.

For those looking to skip the queues, Smyths offers a free Click and Collect service, with items ready for pickup within two hours.

Otherwise, you can shop online and place your order by 5:00 pm for delivery within 1-2 working days.
