More fash less cash: Spring sartorial steals

This week's high street highlights are all about laid-back chic

Sophie White

This week’s high street highlights include culottes, the new wild card trouser trend that’s got everyone debating whether or not to take the plunge. We say jump in feet first with these ballsy faux leather ones teamed with chunky sliders and monochrome blazer for a grown up take on the sports luxe thing.

L-R: Jacket, €69.95 at Mango, faux leather culottes, €60 at Warehouse; sandals, €59.95 at Mango.

Another key look this season is the utilitarian theme. Pulling this look off is all about maintaining an air of insouciance. Also these Zara flats are the high street ‘it’ shoe this season. Buy them.

Work a bit of Seventies sass into a shirt dress with tan accessories. We love this abstract print teamed with pops of colour.
