She’s making improvements.

1000lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton was rushed to hospital and put into a medically induced coma after a serious health scare on the finale of the series.

On the season finale of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the 35 year old was put in an ambulance and brought to A&E after she had “taken a turn for the worse,” her brother Chris revealed.

Only a day before, Tammy had entered a weight loss rehab facility in Ohio after struggling with heaving drinking, vaping and depression.

When Chris and his wife Brittany dropped her off, they soon got a call to say “she had quit breathing.”

“They’re just telling us that her lungs have given up, and like her body is shutting down,” their sister Amanda told People. “So at this point, you know, we’re facing making funeral arrangements for my little sister.”

“I’m just sitting here thinking, Oh my god. She’s been in such a bad place for so long. She waited too long. And now that she has the courage to step out and get the help that she needs, now this.”

When she arrived at the hospital, Tammy was put on a ventilator and then placed in a medically induced coma, but is now said to be doing a lot better.

After four days in the coma and not knowing if she would make it, Tammy woke up and told her siblings how she wanted to go home.

Tammy was then given a tracheotomy, the procedure that creates a hole in the patient’s throat to insert a breathing tube to assist with breathing.

After spending three weeks in hospital, Tammy was sent back to the rehab facility, with sister Amy tearing up while speaking about her bounce back in health.

When it comes to her journey in rehab, Chris reported that Tammy has dropped 115lbs after only 30 days there.
