New CCTV footage of missing Bernadette Connolly near Malahide home given to Gardaí

She was spotted in Malahide.

New footage of missing Dublin woman Bernadette Connolly has been confirmed by her daughter Jade after she was picked up on someone’s home CCTV in Malahide.

After an appeal to find her mum went out last week, the footage shows the latest sighting of Bernadette to be at 12.46pm, eight minutes after the footage they already had.

Spotted in the background of the CCTV clip, Jade is now asking anyone in the Malahide area of Dublin that has CCTV systems on their homes to please check if her mum appears in them on the day of her disappearance on January 7th after 12.45pm.

Up until this point, the evidence showed her near a beach in Donabate, with a photo taken on her phone at 12.38pm. Her phone was discovered on the sand alongside her bag and jacket.

Jade told the Irish Independent: “Somebody’s CCTV picked her up in the background, so now I’m hoping that anyone living at that part of the coast, or has cameras pointing towards it, can check them from 12.45 pm onwards to see if there are any more images.

“If anyone took photographs on the beach that day, the day after Little Christmas, I would urge them to check them and see if my mother is in them in the background.”

Bernadette got a taxi from Swords to the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate on Friday, January 7, and arrived just before 12:00 pm, with CCTV footage showing her in the hotel car park and walking towards the beach.

She was last seen wearing a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, black runners with a white sole and a black bobble hat.

Her jacket and bag were found on the other end of the beach towards Malahide, with the phone giving a timestamp of 12.38pm.

Jade also said that a pink towel was found near the jacket and bag but she is unsure if this belonged to her mum.
