The 5-year-old boy who was killed in a quad bike accident in West Kerry has been named.
The young boy who was killed in a tragic quad bike accident in Co. Kerry has been named as George Francis Freddie Davenport.
George sadly passed away on Sunday, August 6th. He was only five years old.
The incident occurred at a property in Castlegregory, West Kerry on Sunday, August 6th.
Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 3 pm, but the boy suffered critical injuries.
He was taken to University Hospital Kerry following the tragic accident, where a post-mortem is set to take place in due course.
George’s family has penned a moving tribute to him following his untimely death.
The young boy is survived by his parents Laura and David and siblings, Cian, Jake, and Ellie-Rose.
His family shared:
“Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his parents, brothers and sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family, relatives and friends.”
George will be laid to rest later this week.
Tributes have been pouring in for the young boy following his heartbreaking passing.
Locals are said to be in a great deal of shock following the accident.
His family is being supported by a Garda liaison officer during this very sad time.
