They’re determined to keep mum on any baby news for now, but Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Liam Payne may already have let the cat out of the bag when it comes to what they may potentially name their baby.
When DM trawled through countless interviews the pair have given over the last few years, they churned up some very interesting insights into the choices we may be hearing about in the coming months.
In 2014, Cheryl told GQ magazine she was eager to start a family, saying:
‘I love kids, I’m obsessed with babies. I know that’s what I was put on the earth to do – to be a mother.’
‘Of course I’ve thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.’
Meanwhile, in an interview during his One Direction days, Liam told a reporter from Hits Radio:
‘I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.’
While the couple have not confirmed they are expecting, Cheryl could not conceal her blossoming belly beneath her fitted knitted dress this week when she arrived at a St James Christmas Carol Concert in London.
The couple seemed as besotted with each other as ever, and the One Direction star couldn’t help but wrap a protective arm around his girlfriend as they made their way from their car into the venue.
Sources told E! News that “Cheryl is indeed expecting and currently in her second trimester.”
Meanwhile. Liam’s sister Ruth has grown tired of the speculation, sharing her view on the Cheryl and Liam hysteria on Twitter:
