A toymaker has issued a recall for a popular children’s bath toy due to risks of “impalement, lacerations and punctures”.
Zuru has said they are recalling its Robo Alive Junior Baby Shark Sing & Swim Bath Toys with plastic top fin (Full-Size Products) and Robo Alive Junior Mini Baby Shark Bath Toys (Mini-Size Products) following a “small number of complaints”.
The complaints were related to children slipping and falling onto the fin of the full-sized products.
The company has yet to receive any complaints about the mini-size product but they have still been recalled as a precaution.
The products are said to be removed from retail stores globally and destroyed.
The recall is only for products with a plastic top fin as the latest version including a silicone top fin is not included in the recall.
Anyone who has bought the product is being asked to stop using it and register for a refund here, at www.zurutoys.com, or by calling 0800 208 1072.
Tesco and Smyths Toys have both issued separate recall alerts for the products on their websites.
