Rugby player Andrew Porter and his wife Elaine have announced they're expecting a rainbow baby.
The couple confirmed they suffered two heartbreaking losses in 2024, but revealed Elaine is now halfway through her pregnancy.
The parents-to-be shared their joyous news on Instagram this week.
Not only did they reveal they were expecting a child together, but Andrew also revealed the gender of their baby.
He wrote on Instagram, "Halfway there baby boy. 2024 was a rollercoaster of a year after 2 miscarriages, but we are starting 2025 with the biggest blessing and cannot wait to meet him in a few months time."
He added, "Sending love to anyone who has struggled with pregnancy at any stage, you’re not alone."
People praised the couple for being so honest about their losses.
One wrote, "Congratulations on your rainbow baby coming! I’ve had several miscarriages as well and am due with my rainbow in a couple weeks!"
"Congratulations to you both Andrew great start to new year. Hard start but now hoping everything turns out well. I know that feeling of miscarrying but the feeling of carrying a baby to term feels brilliant," another said.
Another said, "You are going make an excellent pair of parents for the little one."
