Kailyn Lowry gave birth to twins in November
Kailyn Lowry has opened up about the birth of her baby boy and girl in a new podcast episode.
She revealed that her twins were actually born five weeks earlier than expected.
In a new episode of the ‘Barely Famous’ podcast, Kailyn revealed her newborns spent weeks in NICU.
The mum-of-seven admitted she finds it incredibly hard to talk about the experience, especially because it happened so recently.
She told her listeners that she still cries when discussing the ordeal.
Kailyn said her twins are now thriving, but it was a difficult few weeks for their family.
The reality star explained that one of her babies, whose name she has not disclosed, was not eating at all.
Her other baby was in NICU for similar issues, but he was allowed to go home first.
Kailyn shared: “They weren’t just there for a couple of days. We were there for a couple of weeks, and we learned so much about the families that are there, and some of them are there for months and months.”
The mum said she struggled knowing her twins were separated during the first few weeks of their lives.
Kailyn said it was so hard to be away from her baby, but she had to focus on her home life too.
She said she’s never cried as much as she did when her babies were in the NICU.
“She was away from her twin; we were away from her. When we were home, we still couldn’t process it because there was so much going on here,” she shared.
We’re so glad Kailyn’s babies are doing better now that they’re out of the NICU.
