Kate Middleton is reportedly devastated by this royal move

Kate Middleton is reportedly heartbroken over the decision to send her eldest son, Prince George to boarding school.

The royal family has many traditions, some more dated than others, but sending their children to prestigious schools is something they’ve always done.

Prince Harry and William attended Eton, Prince Charles attended boarding school Gordonstoun, and it looks like Prince George will follow in their footsteps.

According to reports, the young royal is being sent to boarding school when he turns 13.

Like his father, Prince William, George is set to attend Eton College when he is a teenager.

The mum was hesitant about George attending a single-sex school after she was reportedly bullied during her time at Downe House.

She hoped her son could attend the co-ed school Malborough College in Wiltshire, but it looks like Eton College is their official decision.

According to In Touch Weekly, Kate Middleton is concerned about the decision, but there is little she can do.

“Kate long disagreed with her husband about sending him away, even though it’s tradition,” the insider said.

They added, “Kate thinks sending him to such a stuffy, upper-crust institution goes against all of their efforts to modernize the monarchy. Plus, she’ll miss George desperately. She and William argued about it for years, but he has finally won.”

The mum is supporting Prince George’s decision but she is still devastated.

“She’s still heartbroken. She was horribly bullied at her first boarding school.

“She can’t bear the thought of George suffering through that,” they added.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis currently attend Lambrook School.
