Prince William writes foreword for inspirational new children’s book

Prince William has penned the foreword for a new children’s book.

The book, entitled ‘The Earthshot Prize: A Handbook For Dreamers And Thinkers: Solutions to Repair Our Planet’, will hit shelves on October 12th.

This new children’s book, promoted by the Earthshot Prize founded by the 41-year-old in 2020, was written by Jonnie Hughes and Colin Butfield with the aim of inspiring younger generations to consider and develop solutions as they relate to climate change.

Prince William, in his foreword, is also encouraging young readers to think positively about the future of the planet.

“The world we live in today can feel overwhelming but the biggest challenge we face will be making sure we support and celebrate the wins for our planet, large or small, that can make a difference for everyone’s future,” the prince writes, while the 41-year-old also urges young people to create their own Earthshots to protect the Earth.

“Our goal with The Earthshot Prize Handbook for Dreamers and Thinkers is simple; to encourage you to think about how you can become one of these amazing people contributing to the mission to repair our planet.”

The book is a follow-up to Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet, which was released in 2021.

It will be available for purchase on October 12th and contains all of the simple ways young people can help save the planet, as well as bigger ideas and contributions from people around the world.

Authors Hughes and Butfield have also included Earthshot innovators, entrepreneurs and game changers in the book – from past and present – including Sir David Attenborough and Wangari Maathai.
