Princess Charlotte isn’t allowed a best friend, but it’s for a sweet reason.
The royals have to follow some pretty strange rules like not wearing coloured nail polish and seeking Queen Elizabeth’s approval when naming their children.
It’s safe to say we live completely different lives to Prince William and co. Even the royal children have pretty strict rules they need to abide by.
Princess Charlotte being one of them.
The little princess is only in primary school, but her parents don’t let her have a best friend.
But it’s for quite a special reason.
Princess Charlotte attends Thomas’s Battersea school in London and their ethos is to be kind.
Journalist Jane Moore told Loose Women that the school strives to spread kindness and to be inclusive.
“It’s a really great little school actually for the reasons I think that it really focuses on kindness.
Being kind is “a really big thing in that school and the pastoral care is amazing”.
“There’s a policy that if your child is having a party unless every child in the class is invited you don’t give out the invites in class, which I think is quite a good thing as you don’t feel excluded.”
“There are signs everywhere saying be kind, that’s the ethos of the school. They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”
This rule is to ensure that no child feels left out and it sounds pretty good to us.
Prince William and Princess Kate are very included in both Princess Charlotte and Prince George’s school. The parents are very hands-on, Moore claimed.
The independent school costs nearly £20,000 per pupil every year.
