Rumer Willis has revealed how she came up with her daughter’s name
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star decided to answer all her fan’s questions about motherhood in an Instagram Q&A session, including how she decided to call her daughter Louetta Isley.
As it turns out, Rumer decided on the title as a sweet tribute to her father, actor Bruce Willis.
“I have always loved the name Lou so was thinking of that for both a boy or a girl but then when we found out she was a girl, we came up with Louetta,” she penned.
“We wanted to give her options and me and my dad’s favourite singers are Lou = Louie Armstrong, Etta = Etta James, Isley = Isley Brothers,” she added.

Rumer had previously said that the name was created thanks to a spelling mistake when texting.
“We were thinking about the name Loretta, and it was a typo,” she explained to People in August, “Her dad and I were texting, and he left the ‘R’ out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta.”
Though it was a happy accident, the two decided they loved it, something the 35-year-old branded, “divine intervention”.
Rumer’s journey into motherhood comes as her father battles frontotemporal dementia which he was diagnosed with last year.
The health complication can cause a change in personality, behaviour, and issues with language and movement.
His diagnosis has been hard on the Willis family as his wife Emma Heming has spoken about how difficult it has been to transition into a caregiver role.

In a YouTube video, she said: “Usually what tends to happen is the friend asks what they can do to help, but that just puts another added task on a caregiver to have to dictate, then teach and most times we just don’t have the bandwidth for it.
“But what I know is we do need help and we do need to learn to ask for it because if we don’t it is not sustainable.”
