We are living for this

A TV adaptation of the best selling Harry Potter novels is said to be almost a done deal nearly a decade since the last Harry Potter movie was released.

JK Rowling, the author of the books, is also said to be in talks about producing the series which is very exciting.

The first ever Harry Potter novel, The Philosopher’s Stone, was released 26 years ago in 1997 and it quickly became a worldwide success.

Eight films followed the best sellers staring Daniel RadcliffeEmma Watson and Rupert Grint with the first released in 2001.

The new TV series would be produced by Warner Bros Television and according to Bloombery, Warner Bros are close to a making it come to life.

It’s said that the most difficult part of securing the series is agreeing a deal with JK Rowling but the production is almost there.

Once they have Rowling onboard for the project, it’s expected they’ll be looking for a writer.

Bloomberg said the general idea is for each season of the potential TV series is to focus on one book in the Harry Potter book series, which consists of seven novels.

Meaning we’re in for a nice lengthy series when it does release.

HBO Max and its then-parent company WarnerMedia started exploring a potential Harry Potter TV series a couple of years ago.

At the time, Warner Bros appointed kids, young Adult and classics president Tom Ascheim to manage the Wizarding World and Potter franchises, which includes theme parks, tours and the $9.1 billion-grossing theatrical library.

In the past couple of years, Warner Bros and Warner Media have had success with the Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion special on HBO Max.

That was the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses event series and, most recently, the Hogwarts Legacy hit video game.

It’s unclear when we’ll know for sure if and when the TV series is going ahead but for now it’s looking very promising.
