Insider shares update on how baby Archie is adjusting to life in California

Cathy Donohue

As fans of the Sussex family will know, Meghan, Harry and Archie recently moved to California.

Although a move to Los Angeles had been rumoured, the decision comes as a surprise considering they had only recently relocated to Canada.

However, according to reports, they are settling in well in LA, where Meghan has a close network of friends and bonus, her mum lives there too.

They left Canada just before its borders shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic and both the Duke and Duchess are focusing their attention on baby Archie during this period of staying at home.

A source close to the couple spoke to E News!, explaining: “they are trying to make the best of it and are enjoying all the time together as a family.”

The insider said that Archie has been “enjoying FaceTime playdates with other small children they have in their lives”… perhaps this includes the Cambridge children, George, Charlotte and Louis?!

Another source chatted to People, revealing that Archie is teething at the moment but is a very “happy baby”.

Archie turns one on May 6 and we’re sure plans are afoot to make his first birthday a very special one with previous reports suggesting he would have two parties, one in America and one in the UK.

Currently, California is in lockdown with Governor Gavin Newsom issuing a stay at home order for all residents on March 20.

It requires the estimated 40 million people living in the state to remain in their homes apart from necessary trips for food shopping, medicine or visits to the doctor. Those working in frontline positions go to work as normal and like other countries, social distancing measures have been implemented.

It’s thought that this measure could last for eight weeks but due to the “dynamic situation”, Governor Newson could not   provide give a definite end date.
