Almost one million households who paid Irish Water charges are due to shortly receive their refunds.
However, if your details have changed since you made that payment – if you have moved house, for example – you only have until 5.30pm on Friday, November 17 to notify the company.

If relevant, customers are being asked to change their details either via the Irish Water website or by contacting a CallSave number – 1850 448 448.
On Friday morning, Irish Water furthermore highlighted that it is currently receiving a large number of queries relating to refunds.

Around €173m will be issued back to customers in the form of cheques.
It was initially hoped that everyone would have their refunds before Christmas, however, Leinster house has since admitted that this may not be feasible.
If a customer’s address or details have not changed then there is no need to contact Irish Water.
