Will Lottie Ryan take over from Tubs?

Lottie Ryan has responded to those Late Late Show rumours in the best way possible.

Everyone and their nanny has been suggested for Tubridy’s role, but RTÉ has yet to confirm who will replace the broadcaster.

One of the many names suggested includes Lottie Ryan.

The presenter addressed the rumours this week.

During a Q&A session, Lottie was asked if she was interested in the role.

One of her fans asked, ‘will you do the late late gig?’

Lottie quipped back, “depends how good the money is” followed by a shrug emoji.

Earlier this week, Miriam O’Callaghan confirmed she will not be taking over the role.

The Prime Time presenter was announced as favourite to replace Tubridy but she has no plans on taking over.

The 63-year-old revealed that while the show would be the “jewel in the crown of Irish broadcasting”.

However, she is not prepared to leave Prime Time just yet.

“Interestingly, last night I found the letter I wrote fourteen years ago, the last time the role of presenter of The Late Late Show was up for grabs. In it I told management that I was withdrawing my name from the ring on that occasion too, saying I no longer wanted to be considered for the job if I had to leave Prime Time, and the position – fourteen years on – remains exactly the same,” she confirmed.

Tommy Tiernan, Claire Byrne and Brendan O’Connor are now the top names mentioned.
