A court in Malawi has just given permission for Madonna to adopt two four-year-old twin sisters.
The US singer had caused controversy in the impoverished African country when she was accused of skirting the laws that bans non-residents from adopting Malawian children.
Recently Madonna had denied reports she wanted to adopt again saying her trip was for charity work.
The Daily Mail reports that the four-year-old twins are called Esther and Stella Mwale.
They will now be allowed travel to the US if she wishes but the ‘Like a Virgin’ singer will be under court observation for at least a year before the adoption process is finalised.
She must also take part in a home study for Malawian authorities.
The 58-year-old is already mother to 19-year-old Lourdes, her daughter with ex Carlos Leon, a son Rocco, 15, from her marriage to Guy Ritchie, and David Banda, 11, and Mercy, also 11, whom she adopted from Malawi.
