More snow? Met Éireann just updated the weather forecast for the week ahead

Rebecca O'Keeffe

Oh dear…

Lads, the weather has been bloody bonkers lately.

Last week, we had the sunnies out for a glorious 17 degrees, and yesterday it snowed…

We can’t keep up!

And it looks like we’re in for more weird, and cold weather in the next few days.

According to Met Éireann,

“Tuesday will see a spell of windy and very wet weather will become widespread early Tuesday night. Heavy falls of rain may well lead to spot flooding and some wintry falls on northern hills. Overnight lows of 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, coldest over Ulster.”

Please, make it stop.

Met Éireann

“It will be cold with further wet and windy weather for a time on Wednesday, with strong and gusty, mainly northwest winds and afternoon temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees through Ulster, but 7 to 10 elsewhere, highest on the south coast.”

“Clear spells and showers following later in the day and overnight with some frost. Overnight lows of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius are expected.”

“Cool, bright and breezy on Thursday, with sunny spells and scattered passing showers, a few heavy. Blustery northwest winds at first will fall off moderate to fresh during the afternoon. Temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees Celsius are expected, but values may be a little lower in some northern parts. Very cold and frosty overnight, in lows of -2 to +2 degrees Celsius.”

-2? WHAT IS HAPPENING?

“After a mostly dry cold frosty start, Friday will see some sunny spells. Rain, with strengthening southerly winds will spread eastwards during the afternoon, with some heavy rain in places. The rain will turn more showery late in the day and overnight.”

Grim.
