The steam from the bucket of hot water and mixed products, carried the chemicals through the air and resulted in Charley having to be rushed to hospital. Mum was suffering agonising chest pains but thankfully her 15-year-old son heard her screaming and immediately called an ambulance. Medics who brought Charley to Northern General Hospital in Yorkshire said her oxygen levels were dangerously low and that mixing the harsh chemicals gave the mum chlorine gas poisoning. Speaking to the Mirror, she said,
“I just want to warn people. Everything I used were just normal cleaning products that you can get from the supermarket.” “I didn't read the small print on the bottles, but no-one does really, and I just want everyone to make sure they do when they're cleaning.”Charley is awaiting test results to see if any permanent damage was caused as she has nursed a sore throat and headache in the immediate aftermath of the ordeal.
