The bath toy may put children at risk of suffocation.
An urgent recall has been issued for a popular bath toy.
The Luclay bathtub toy has been recalled because of suffocation risks.
Parents should take the bathtub toy away from children immediately.
The CCPC issued the warning after discovering a fault with the toy.
“The product presents a risk of suffocation. The product’s blue spoon does not have any opening, divider, or scalloped edge pattern and therefore presents a suffocation hazard because the spoon may form an airtight seal over the mouth and nose.
Unfortunately, the batch number and barcode are unknown.
The CCPC also doesn’t have the product’s model number.
The toy brand is Luclay and parents would have purchased the item on eBay. The eBay product ID is 403752105291.
The product was sold online through the eBay platform.
What should I do if I purchased this toy?
Parents have been told to discontinue the use of this harmful toy immediately.
The CCPC stressed that it should also be kept out of children’s reach completely.
“If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children.”
If you’re looking for a refund then you must request one from the eBay seller. However, it may not be possible for all customers.
“You may wish to contact the eBay seller to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on eBay.”
