Irish parents have been advised to take note of this stroller recall

A warning has been shared with Irish parents after a popular stroller was recalled.

The CCPC is urging anyone who purchased the Stokke YOYO³ strollers to cease using them immediately.

There are fears that the strollers may cause harm to your infant due to an issue with the parking brake.

The CCPC has confirmed the strollers have been sold in Ireland, with around 58 products being affected.

They stated: “The risk reported to the CCPC is that the parking brake on certain Stokke® YOYO³ strollers may unexpectedly release resulting in an injury hazard for the child.

“Only YOYO3 strollers with a serial number that begins with ‘142AA’, followed by numbers that fall below “0062239, are affected. There are approximately 58 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.”

What should parents do if they own one of the affected strollers?

Parents have been urged to stop using the strollers immediately to avoid any injuries or incidents.

Parents can also check to see if their stroller is affected if they’re uncertain.

They should also go to the dedicated Stokke portal to check whether their YOYO3 stroller is affected.

Those affected by the recall can also register for remedy.

The CCPC confirmed, “Consumers should immediately stop using any Stokke® YOYO³ stroller included in this recall. Consumers should go to the dedicated Stokke portal to check whether their YOYO3 stroller is affected, and to register for remedy.”
