Her mum continued to share that Saoirse has had to deal with hair loss, a variety of scans, and adjusting to a wheelchair. As well as the physical trauma, Saoirse has had to emotionally adapt to this terrifying situation. The schoolgirl has been separated from her friends. She has been filled with fear and anxiety too. Saoirse has also had to learn how to walk and cycle again. There have been "lots of tears", her mum shared. "There are different coloured ribbons that represent each type of cancer a person can get. It’s very surreal to think Saoírse now has two ribbons that represent her having (1) Bone cancer & (2) Lung cancer." Roseanna said they had no idea about this type of cancer until it affected their beautiful daughter. "We as a family were never aware of any such cancer, let alone childhood cancer. It comes into your home and completely turns your life upside down. EVERYTHING changes!" "And just when you think you're picking yourself up and starting to find your way, then it comes to your door again!" Despite the struggles, heartache, and constant anxiety, Saoirse and her family remain positive. Her mum added, "But no matter what, we continue to be incredibly grateful.""It comes into your home and completely turns your life upside down"
