Three-week-old baby rushed to hospital following horror road accident

The car the baby was travelling in was hit by a Ferrari.

A three-week-old baby has been rushed to hospital following a road accident in the English county of Cheshire. The infant was travelling in a car that was hit by a Ferrari just outside of Runcorn.

Emergency services rushed the infant to a nearby hospital following the collision.

The incident occurred on Friday, July 21st just after 5 pm.

According to Cheshire Police, a Ferrari collided with the Ford Fiesta on the A558 Daresbury Expressway.

The driver of the Ferrari, a man aged in his 30s, was also hospitalised following the accident.

He is also reported to be in a serious condition.

Cheshire Police stated:

“At 5.05 pm on Friday 21 July, a dark grey Ford Fiesta and a dark grey Ferrari collided on the A558 Daresbury Expressway.

“The Ferrari was traveling from the Mersey Gateway direction and the Fiesta was joining the carriageway from Manor Park Avenue.

“The driver of the Ferrari, a 34-year-old man, and a 3-week-old baby from the Fiesta were taken to hospital in a serious condition.”

Officers have urged witnesses to come forward following the car accident.

“We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or events leading up to it,” the statement said.

They’re also urging anyone with footage to contact them.

“The same goes for anyone with dash cam footage that may have captured events or prior driving of either vehicle leading up to the collision and the collision itself.”
