North West is following in her dad Kanye’s footsteps
The daughter of Kim Kardashian has decided to take the music world by storm with her debut album Elementary School Dropout.
Speaking on camera for the first time about her project, she told a 13-year-old reporter behind Jazzy’s World TV while at Rolling Loud California last Thursday.
“It’s gonna be great,” the 10-year-old told her host, before admitting she wasn’t sure when it would be released.
When asked if there would be any collaborations with her famous father Kanye, she raised her arms and exclaimed: “Mmmm, maybe! We don’t know yet!”
While the youngster was mum on many details, including the album’s release date, she did tease that she might collaborate with her famous dad on some songs.
However, the pre-teen’s seemingly nervous demeanour and responses reminded fans of Kanye’s attitude during interviews, and they wondered how much North would mirror her dad in her career.
One person compared North’s actions to that of her dad to her dad, pointing out the two are very similar, writing: “‘Ima take my time and answer’ – Ye.”
While another suggested North West would pull a similar move to Kanye, 46, and “delay” her album.
“She gonna delay the album like her dad,” the social media user remarked.
Over the years, Kanye has earned himself a bit of a reputation for stating new music will come out but then ultimately pushing it back last minute.
He finally dropped his Vultures I album last month, which was initially slated to land at the end of 2023.
It is the first in a trilogy, with Vultures 2 and Vultures 3 scheduled to drop in the coming weeks.
North has previously shown off her skills when she featured on Kanye’s track, Talking/Once Again.
