He will have to take a week off.

Michael Carruth has been forced to pull out of this week’s Dancing With The Stars due to an injury.

RTÉ released a statement saying that Michael has received treatment but will have to sit out of today’s show.

The statement reads:

“Michael Carruth has sustained an injury and, as a result, will now not be dancing in the male group dance in tomorrow night’s programme.

“Michael is currently receiving treatment and we hope he will recover for next Sunday’s programme.”

Last week saw all the male contestants of Dancing With The Stars take to the stage, while tonight we’ll see the ladies show off all that they have learned.

Glenda Gilson, Lottie Ryan, Grainne Gallanagh, Mary Kennedy, Yewande Biala  and Sinead O’Connor are going to take to the dance floor for the first time and we can’t wait to see what they have in store.

Yewande is really excited to be joining Dancing With The Stars, saying: “I’m super excited, just excited to learn new moves and meet new people.  It’ll be interesting to get to know everyone.

“I just want to enjoy the experience overall really.”
