Another day another royal drama, but this time it involves Prince Archie
Reports claim the youngster has been excluded from his godfather’s wedding, the Duke of Westminster, a lifelong friend of Prince Harry.
Hugh Grosvenor has invited the King and Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales to his nuptials next summer with Olivia Henson, but there’s no sign of Harry and Meghan being on the guest list.
It’s understood that Archie’s cousin Prince George is expected to play a role in the wedding as Hugh is also godfather to the second-in-line to the throne.
Just to add to the hurt feelings, William is believed to be in the running to be the best man as Hugh’s mother is also his godmother.
It’s understood that the duke and his bride reached their decision as to not risk “anything overshadowing the day” according to The Independent.
The rumours come as news of a ‘royal racism row’ started to make headlines after the release of Omid Scobie’s second book Endgame.
Copies were pulled from shelves in the Netherlands after the Dutch translation was found to have named King Charles and Princess Kate as two royals alleged to have raised “concerns” about the skin colour of Archie ahead of his birth.
Endgame claims the names were discussed in letters exchanged between the Duchess of Sussex and the King.
The mistake brought back the revelation that Meghan and Harry made in her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey where the couple didn’t name the senior role they claimed to be responsible for the remarks.
The rebel royals are yet to comment on the unfolding drama.
