“I’m making sure she’s protected and got the right people around her.”

The world has not heard much from Prince Harry since his bombshell revelations in that Oprah Winfrey interview last year.

However, earlier this week, the 37-year-old sat down with US TV host Hoda Kotb in The Hague, where he is currently hosting the Invictus Games, for an exclusive interview for the Today show.

Teasing the interview – which is due to air in full today – on yesterday’s show, Kotb’s co-anchors added that the Duke of Sussex will also discuss fatherhood and life with his and Meghan’s two children, Archie, two, and 10-month-old Lilibet.

Asked by Kotb how it was seeing his grandmother again after such a long time, Harry replied:

“It was just so nice to see her, you know, she’s on great form, she’s always got a great sense of humour with me and I’m making sure she’s protected and got the right people around her.”

The royal, who is now living in the US with his wife, Meghan Markle, and children, also said he had made the Queen laugh during his brief visit.

“Both Meghan and I had tea with her so it was nice to catch up with her.”

‘Welcomed with open arms’

Much to the sadness of royal fans, it doesn’t seem like Harry is planning a move back to England anytime soon.

“Home for me now is for the time being is in the States and it feels that way as well,” he could reveal.

“We’ve been welcomed with open arms and we have such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”
