Prince Harry has said that he and Meghan had “no other choice” but to leave the royal family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their decision to step away from their royal duties earlier this month to eventually become financially dependent.
It was announced over the weekend that they would also lose their royal titles and state funding.
Speaking at a Sentebale charity event on Sunday, Prince Harry said that his decision to step back from his duties “is not one I made lightly.”
If you want to check out the full speech you can do so here, however, something that caught us off guard was when he mentioned his son, Archie.
The prince (soon-to-be former prince?) spoke a lot about his family at the charity event saying that “once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve.”
He then moved onto Archie: “It has been our privilege to serve you, and we will continue to lead a life of service.
“So in that respect, nothing changes. It has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son, Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant.”
Adorable.
Archie is currently with Meghan in Canada and we’re sure Harry is itching to see him.
