Yet despite wanting to reunite with Connor, she won't be sacrificing her family Christmas in Cork and will wait until the New Year to make the trip.
In just a few weeks' time, the 40-year-old will be stepping back from the Today Show to start her maternity leave.
As Sinéad prepares to welcome baby number two, the beloved broadcaster has admitted she's a lot more relaxed this time around because when Indie was born the country was at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I'm probably more excited this time because I know what I'm getting at the end of it. I didn't know what to expect when I had Indie, I didn't know how I would be or how I would react," she explained.
"Now that I know, it is the most wonderful thing in the world, and I feel so lucky to be here again."
