Christmas at The Square Tallaght

Started your Christmas shopping yet?

I know, it can be a little overwhelming – but sure look, here we are, with just weeks to go until the Big Day, and the shopping has to be done. And as it is Christmas, and because we have all had one hell of a couple of years, I think we might as well have some fun while getting all the necessities done and bought.

And if you are yet to brave the shops this year, why not plan a fun day out for the whole family at The Square Tallaght – and get all your shopping done in one, big swoop – with tons of (safe and pandemic-friendly) fun along the way to boost.

It seems the elves over at The Square Tallaght have been snowed under (hah!) preparing a pretty amazing-sounding family experience – and we love the idea of being able to get the festive shopping down while also having some fun family Christmas experiences too. Talk about a win-win!

Santa’s grotto and adventure trail

Santa is set to arrive at The Square Tallaght tomorrow, Sunday, November 21st, and little visitors can now pre-book to see him – knowing that all safety measures have been taken and everyone can enjoy a safe visit.

As well as Santa’s grotto, little people will no doubt be delighted to visit the brand new Adventure Trail – a festive journey full of magic moments for the whole family.

Fancy a visit in between your shopping? Just pick up a map from Santa’s North Pole Post Office, tick off the challenges and capture lots of sElfies on your way!

Some of the highlights include the Candy Cane Swing, Hop Scotch Lane and Santa’s Sleigh! Note that a €2 donation to The Square’s children’s charity partner, Barnardos, can be made when picking up a map – with completed trail maps entered into a draw to win a €250 The Square Gift Card.

Ferris wheel and festive fun

As well as Santa and the adventure trail, there will also be a massive 35m Panoramic Ferris Wheel in place.

Sparkling in the sky with views across Dublin city and mountains -the big wheel is a huge hit and is this year will also be joined by added funfair rides for the little ones.

Featuring a new Candy Cane Trampoline and a Festive Spin Zone, with firm favourites Sea Storm and the classic Merry Go Round- the outdoor experience on level 3 is not to be missed – and dare we suggest, the perfect place for one parent to take the kids while the other run gets the shopping done!
