“The staff were just absolutely incredible”

Terrie McEvoy has opened up about giving birth to her baby girl Sydney.

The new mum welcomed her daughter 3 weeks ahead of her due date.

Speaking about having a C-section, McEvoy admitted it wasn’t what she wanted but it wasn’t meant to be.

“It wasn’t what I wanted obviously. I would’ve loved to do the vaginal birth, but it just wasn’t meant to be.”

“So, that was kind of hard to process but, once I got over that part it was actually a nice experience because the staff were just absolutely incredible,” she explained.

Terrie said being a nurse helped her come to terms with the recovery. “I was quite prepped in my mind of what to expect.”

Speaking about the recovery, Terrie said: “I didn’t find it too bad. It’s a lot though. It is, and can be a really tough thing to go through. I was shook for about 24 hours.”

“She came three weeks early, she’s not actually due till next week. We were not expecting it.”

Terrie said she feels lucky to have had such a good recovery so far.

“I listened to every single word from my midwife and doctors, and I suppose being a nurse was quite helpful as well.

The mum said baby Sydney is doing well and is thriving.

“We are doing so well, she was seen by the public health nurse today. She’s thriving, I’m obsessed with her, I love her… I just love her so much,” the new mum gushed.

Terrie announced her daughter’s birth on Instagram at the start of November. “Our hearts are ready to burst with love and gratitude.”
