The Teletubbies Sun is a mum and now we feel ancient
The actress who starred as the Sun Baby in the Teletubbies has welcomed her first child.
Does anyone else feel about 100 years old?
Glad it’s not just us.
Jess Smith has given birth to her first child and we couldn’t be happier for her.
The new mum posted a photo of her newborn’s tiny hand. She captioned the snap, “One whole week of you”.
Her followers were over the moon for the new mum and showered her with loving messages following her announcement.
One wrote: “Yay. The sun baby’s baby! Congratulations.”
Another said: “The Teletubbies sun baby had her own sun baby.”
One added: “Congratulations. Good luck with being a mom. You can do it. You’re gonna be a super mom.”
Jess revealed she was pregnant with her first child in October 2023.
The former TV star admitted that she’s a little bit embarrassed about her claim to fame, but she’s embracing it now.
She told BBC South West:
“I used to hide it, but after a lot of encouragement from my friends at university, I’ve gained the confidence to come out with it. I am the sun from the ‘Teletubbies’. Everyone says they can see the likeness between my face now and me as a baby.
She added: “I still have a baby face. I haven’t changed much either. I am still giggly.”
Jess has not confirmed the sex or name of her baby.
