This mum is urging other parents to beware of this

A mum has shared a warning with fellow parents after her son’s bath toy caused a serious injury.

The mum was left heartbroken when she noticed her son was acting unusual after his bath.

She explained that he usually loves baths, but he was struggling so much and kept rubbing his eyes and ears.

His mum wrote on Facebook: “My heart is breaking for my baby right now. For parents that have bath toys and they take batteries throw them out immediately.”

She explained that yesterday morning she put her son Zaylin in the bath, but he started acting unusual.

“I put his bath toys in the water and started getting myself ready. Zaylin loves taking baths so he stays in for quite a while. Well, this time he wanted to get out pretty fast. As I was drying him off he was rubbing his eyes saying “hurt, hurt” but was also rubbing his ears.”

The mum said she thought her son had an ear infection, but then his eyes started to turn red.

The mum was concerned that there was mold growing in his bath toys and it caused a reaction, but it was one of his battery-operated toys that was causing the issue.

She said: “I instantly thought about how our morning went and went to check this specific toy cause the rest of his toys are simple that water can’t get into.”

“As I open it up there’s so much rust & battery acid inside the toy which caused his eyes to burn,” she revealed.

She rushed her little boy to hospital where he received treatment, but they’re still swollen.

The mum stressed that all parents should throw out battery-operated bath toys immediately.

She said it wasn’t worth the risk and so many things could happen like infections and reactions.
