“Suicide can happen to anyone at any time…”

Tributes have been paid to Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Jack Saunders who was found dead last weekend.

The 25-year-old, who was due to appear on the upcoming series of the talent show, died by suicide last week according to members of his family.

Jack’s mother Sandra told The Mirror that her son had gone to the doctor before Christmas but that they”never spotted any problems.”

“We don’t know why he did it, he didn’t leave a note,” she said. “He did not have depression.”

“Suicide can happen to anyone at any time. People can’t believe Jack is gone. We are the same.

“I want people to know that this can happen to any family. There is no stereotype – it doesn’t have to be a manic depressive who has shown signs of mental health problems.”

Sandra said that her son, who was part of a five man dance troupe called Green Force Five, was a “kind soul.”

She and the rest of the Saunders family are hoping to share Jack’s story to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health issues.

“It’s just shocked everyone because to other people Jack had it all,” she said. “Jack achieved more than many people could dream of achieving. He knew we loved him.”

Jack’s girlfriend, Frankie Hurst, shared an emotive post on her Instagram page, paying tribute to “… my soul mate, my best friend, my right arm.”

“I’m so lucky to have experienced the love that we have and il forever carry that in my heart,” she wrote.

“The kindest, most considerate person who is loved by soooo many people, and I just wish you realised how many people you have impacted on.

“You’re going to missed so much Jack. So so much.”

A spokesman for Britain’s Got Talent said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Jack’s family and friends during this difficult and devastating time.”

It is unclear whether the show will include Green Force Five’s audition, or if the remaining troupe members will perform at the semi-finals.
