Vogue Williams opens up about her divorce from Brian McFadden

Vogue Williams has opened up about her divorce from singer Brian McFadden.

The mum-of-three, who is now married to Spencer Matthews, said she suffered from anxiety following her divorce.

Vogue married the former Westlife singer in September 2012. The couple announced they were separating in 2015 after three years of marriage.

Vogue said their divorce was a big driver for her anxiety.

She told her husband Spencer Matthews on his podcast Big Fish;

“Going through a marriage break-up definitely was the driver of that. I’d get really bad stomach pains like butterflies in your stomach.”

“The sleep thing was the worst because you wouldn’t be able to sleep, which then just fuels the anxiety even worse the next day.”

“What eventually helped me was I actually went on tablets for it. I went on propranolol.”

Vogue admitted she was hesitant about taking tablets because she was “really embarrassed”.

However, the medication really helped her.

“They were super helpful for me. They’re not for everyone, because mine were real physical symptoms, so mine were really like, I’d have clenched hands, I’d grind my teeth really badly at night.”

She said the tablets helped ease the physical symptoms.

“I wouldn’t be clenching my hands, my heart wouldn’t be racing so much.”

She also exercised a lot following the divorce. As well as working out, Vogue also went to see a therapist, which helped her work through a lot of the heartache.

She is now married to Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews. The couple has three children together- sons Theodore and Otto and daughter Gigi.
