She was taken to St. James’s Hospital following the “shocking” attack.

A woman has been rushed to hospital after an attack in Dublin city.

It is believed she was targeted in St. Stephen’s Green yesterday afternoon.

According to Dublin Live, the woman is aged in her 50s.

It is understood she was attacked shortly after 4 pm.

She has been taken to St. James’s Hospital for treatment, Gardaí confirmed.

An investigation is now underway

Gardaí issued a statement following the attack.

“Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred in Stephens Green at approximately 4:15 pm yesterday afternoon.

“A female in her 50s was taken to St James Hospital to be treated for her injuries. No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.”

The shocking attack comes after two women in Kilkenny and Cork were also attacked.

A man attacked a 17-year-old girl when she was out exercising in Kilkenny. Gardaí are now investigating the “alleged abduction”. The young girl was treated for shock, as well as minor injuries.

Another woman was attacked by a random person in Cork city.

It is believed the violent attack took place as the woman walked home in Cork’s south city centre.

The assault occurred last Saturday at 11. 30 pm, according to Gardaí.

The woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, was walking in the Evergreen Street area.

The attacker punched her numerous times, but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

It is believed the person who attacked her fled the scene on foot.

Gardaí have launched investigations into all three attacks.
