4 great places for you and your family to visit Santa in Cork this Christmas

The festive season has returned and Santa visits are high on the agenda of children across the country.

There are some fantastic Santa experiences up and down the country but if you live in Cork, or are down for a visit over Christmas, you may want to check out some of these wonderful grottos.

From attending Elf school to making wishes at the magical wishing tree and everything in-between, there’s something to suit every family.

1) Fota House

At Fota House you and your family will be transported back in time and take part in a magical adventure. You will meet Mrs Claus in the Victorian Kitchen and journey on to meet Clara, the Mischievous Mouse King and the Toy Prince.

There will also be fantastic Christmas crafts and their magical Wishing Tree where your child can leave their wish.

Bakestone will be on hand to serve you some delicious seasonal treats including hot chocolates and mince pies.

The Magic of Santa’ runs Friday 7th December from 5 pm to 8.00pm and from 12.00pm all other days. Prices are €19 for children and €9 for adults.

2)Santa’s Village Leahy’s Farm

You will begin your journey through Santa’s Village at Santa’s workshop where you will find Mrs Claus making tasty treats in her cottage. From there you will step into a magical land of fairies and elves, and your child will even learn some elf tricks in Elf school.

Santa’s Village will open on Saturday 24th November 2018 and all children attending will get to meet and receive a little present from Santa (babies can visit for free but will not receive a gift). After or Before your visit you have full use of all the other facilities at Leahy’s Open Farm.

Santa’s Village Experience tours start between 4.30pm – 6.50pm Thursdays and Fridays
and from 10 am – 6.50pm on Saturday and Sunday and prices are €22 for children over two year, €10 for toddlers under two and €14 for adults.

 

3.Cork North Pole Outpost Experience

The Cork North Pole experience can be found deep in the woods and is an amazing interactive experience that the whole family are bound to enjoy.

Everyone is encouraged to get in on the fun with lots of theatrical productions and festive fun.

Prices are €22 for a child, €14 for adults, €10 for toddlers and €8 for babies (with gift).

4.Santa at Griffins Dripsey

From Saturday 1st December right up till Christmas Eve, Santa will be inviting all the children in Ireland to visit him at Griffins Dripsey.

This Santa Experience is one of Corks longest running and popular Santa experiences and continues to attract families every year

As well as visiting Santa you can also visit all of his animal friends and maybe even sing a song or two with them.

Santa at Griffins Dripsey offer a family rate of €25 for a family with one child, €35 for a family with two children and  €45 for a family with three children. Additional children cost €10. Sensory Friendly Santa experience 5th and 12th.
