Angelina Jolie shares the piece of advice she tells her daughters to live by
Angelina Jolie knows a thing or two about living life to the fullest. Overcoming her own fair share of difficulties in life including her breakup from husband Brad Pitt in late 2016 - Angelina has spoken out, sharing some life advice in the latest issue of Elle Magazine.
When asked if she had any words of wisdom for her daughters Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne, the 42-year-old star answered: "I tell my daughters, 'what sets you apart is what you are willing to do for others. Anyone can put on a dress and makeup. It’s your mind that will define you'."
"Find out who you are, what you think, and what you stand for - and fight for others to have those same freedoms. A life of service is worth living."
Angelina who has a total of six children including three boys Maddox, 16, Pax, 14 and Knox nine spoke about her children in a rare occasion for the March magazine edition.
She also spoke about her continuing campaign against the use of rape and sexual violence as weapons of war and her overall hope to achieve positive change for women’s rights globally.
She said: "I think of how hard women fought to get us to where we are today. Everything counts, from the way you hold yourself in daily life and educate yourself on your own rights, to solidarity with other women around the world."
Angelina was on the cover of Elle in honor of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 and will be available to purchase from February 20.
